Through determination and a hardworking spirit, Spark Thomasville graduate Nyhema Kelly is transforming her dream of quality childcare into a thriving reality serving Thomas and Grady counties.

Business owner Nyhema Kelly shares her solutions for quality childcare during Spark Tank 2024, where Early Learning Academy won third place and support from Thomas County's friendly business community.

Nyhema always had a passion for education. Licensed in 2014 as a childcare provider, she always made sure that her children were set to win. When her children needed childcare she set out to find the best for them.

A Mother’s Heart Sparks Change

When Nyhema saw the state of local childcare options, she knew she had to create something better. Cleanliness and safety were high priorities for her.

With insight, she envisioned a space where her children would truly learn and grow. “I needed and wanted better for my child,” Nyhema shares, her voice filled with purpose. Taking a bold leap of faith, she left her government job and transformed her home’s theatre room into a vibrant learning space.

Building Success Through Determination

In 2021 Nyhema began offering homeschool and afterschool services. Though her first open house drew no visitors, her persistence soon attracted families seeking quality education.
