ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT: Paige Knuckles Paints Success in Thomasville

Paige Knuckles
You, the Spark Thomasville giving community & Paige make Thomsville a special place!

Through Spark Thomasville, you have played a role in Paige Knuckles' success. “I learned SO much through Spark! It enabled me to have a business that can continually grow. Winning second place in the Spark Competition in 2019, gave me the opportunity to get my professional certification.”

This support aligns perfectly with Spark Thomasville’s values of education, coaching, and access to resources.

Paige Knuckles’ creative spirit and dedication has transformed her passion into a thriving business.

Her journey from being a Spark Thomasville student to becoming the successful owner of Color Me Paige, a nail service salon in downtown Thomasville, is an inspiring story of the potential outcomes when underestimated entrepreneurs are provided with the necessary support.

Paige Knuckles
" I remember being creative in kindergarten!"

As a result of the support from the Spark Thomasville community, Paige was presented with an opportunity that may not have been otherwise available to her.

Paige’s artistic flair has been evident since childhood. “I have always been artistic. I remember being creative in kindergarten! When my mother was a cosmetologist, I would polish her clients’ toes during their hair appointments. In school, I was the student who always went the extra mile to make my projects look pretty with drawings, shapes, and colors. I took every art class I could every single year of middle and high school. I even took AP art and loved every minute of it!”

This lifelong passion for creativity has found great expression in Color Me Paige, where Paige’s expertise in acrylic, natural nails, pedicures, and toe services has earned her a loyal clientele. Located in the Business Exchange in Downtown Thomasville, Paige’s business is flourishing. “Business is good, my schedule is booked solid each week!”

Your giving provides the resources and guidance passionate individuals like Paige often need to turn their dreams into reality.

Last month, she officially released her Gloss Guard Gel Top Coat.

The success of Color Me Paige is now going beyond just providing excellent nail services. Paige has recently expanded her business by launching her own product line. Last month, she officially released her Gloss Guard Gel Top Coat and two flavored hand scrubs: Angel’s Touch (Lavender, a client favorite) and Sweet Sunrise (Citrus). This move into product development shows Paige’s innovative spirit and her ability to identify and meet her clients’ needs.

But Paige isn’t stopping there. With the entrepreneurial spirit that Spark Thomasville’s giving community fosters, she’s looking toward the future with plans for further expansion. She’s currently developing online courses to teach nail care basics, including shaping, filing, and nail art design. These courses will allow Paige to share her expertise with a wider audience, potentially inspiring and educating the next generation of nail artists.

Paige’s journey to entrepreneurship was unexpected but natural. In 2017, she started as a self-taught travel nail technician in Thomasville & surrounding cities. “I had no plans for being an entrepreneur, it was a God-given talent.” While completing her university studies and struggling to find a quality nail salon, what initially began as a part-time endeavor gradually evolved into a full-time passion. “One day I calculated how much money I was losing turning down clients so I could work my job and I was amazed! I could double my income by being my own boss. I quit my job during the pandemic and started doing nails and it has been amazing ever since!”

Paige's Angel's Touch hand scrub is a customer favorite.

Looking to the future, Paige has ambitious plans. “I am hoping to expand and open a wholesale nail supply store for the Southeast. And ultimately my vision is to be the first African-American-owned salon chain!” Talk about economic viability, job creation, and legacy building!

“I wouldn’t be where I am without Spark. Spark prepared me to succeed with knowledge and strategic relationships.”

Paige is part of what makes Thomasville the wonderful place it is.

And you played a part. How awesome is that?

Grateful for you!
